Home Made Organic Granola
Start your day with this crunchy, satisfying, and surprisingly easy home made organic granola. Because of its low sugar content this home made organic granola also makes a good snack or dessert topping.
Move oven rack to middle position and preheat oven to 180°C / 325°F. Cover rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
Warm maple syrup, coconut syrup, vanilla extract and coconut oil in a small saucepan over low heat. Whisk to combine.
Place oats and almonds in large mixing bowl. Pour the oil mixture over the oats and almonds and fold in until the oats and almonds are thoroughly coated.
Pour mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly. Use a spatula or the back of large metal or wooden spoon to press the oat mixture until very compact.
Bake 20 minutes, rotate baking sheet, then bake another 20 minutes.
Once golden brown, remove the granola from oven and cool on a wire rack until completely cooled. Break into bite-sized pieces and store in an airtight container.
